The new Amazon Echo Pop is stylish, affordable, and offers good sound for small spaces
The Echo Pop is like a sliced-in-half Echo Dot smart speaker. The setup for the Echo Pop is in the Alexa app, available for iOS and Android devices, and takes about five minutes to complete. The Echo Pop has a small light bar on the top of the speaker that illuminates when the speaker is activated (blue), muted (red), or there are notifications to review (yellow). The top of the speaker has press buttons to turn the volume up/down, and mute the mic. The Echo Pop is built with Amazon's AZ2 Neural Edge processor, allowing for more local processing of voice commands.

Alexa is listening: Make these important privacy tweaks on your Amazon Echo device now
Anytime you speak to Alexa, it records your voice and entire conversation. Amazon then stores those voice recordings forever, unless you opt to delete these in a more timely manner. If you already own an Amazon Alexa, you know how easy they make your day-to-day life. You can ask questions, avoid your phone altogether, or utilize the different skills you can set up and create new routines. How much information are you allowing Alexa and Amazon to collect from you?

Amazon's second-gen Echo Show 5 falls short on new features
The Show 5 (second-gen) is one of several new touchscreen displays from Amazon this year, including the all-new Echo Show 5 (second-gen) Kids edition and the recently-revamped Echo Show 8 (second-gen). This is the first time that Amazon has refreshed the Echo Show 5 since 2019, but the upgrades are minimal between the first and second-gen models. However, if you're on the hunt for a compact Alexa display and don't already have one, the new Echo Show 5 is worth a look. The second-gen Show 5 comes with a white power adapter (15W) that spans about five feet in length. Plug the cord into the display, connect it to the internet, and follow the on-screen prompts to complete the setup process.
